Pedestal sump pump positions the motor above the water line — allowing access for service without removing the unit from the pit. The 1/2 HP motor removes up to 4,200 GPH and is rated for continuous duty. Pedestal design is preferred in narrow pits (under 12 inches diameter) where submersible units will not fit. Float switch engages automatically at a user-adjustable water level.
