NDS EZ-Drain eliminates the most labor-intensive part of a traditional French drain — hauling and placing 57-stone gravel. The kit is a pre-engineered, single-piece system: a 4-inch perforated pipe is permanently surrounded by a factory-installed aggregate wrap encased in a filter fabric sock. All you do is dig the trench and drop it in. The aggregate wrap provides the same drainage performance as 12 inches of hand-laid gravel, but the entire unit weighs just 11 lbs per 10-foot section versus 100+ lbs of gravel. Standard 10-foot sections connect with included couplings and can be cut to any length with a handsaw. Compatible with standard 4-inch drain fittings, catch basins, and pop-up emitters. A 10-foot section handles typical downspout drainage; a 100-foot run handles severe yard drainage problems.
